How to Get Glowing Skin on your Wedding Day

Lately it seems every weekend I’m hearing about an engagement or I’m being hired to do bridal makeup. Love is in the air my beauties and you better jump on the love train before it pulls out of the station honey. Honestly, this is the first year I’ve experienced such an increase in bridal work and I’ve almost scratched myself a bald spot trying to determine if cupid sprinkled love dust in the clouds and now it’s raining down on everyone which is a good thing BTW. With all of the planning and discussion around your special day you may easily forget the most important part of your special day. Yes, your skin! Your skin deserves to be flawless and it will be flawless. Six months prior to your special day you should cater to your skin and treat her extra special. Here’s a few guaranteed tips to ensure your skin is healthy and flawless for your amazing day.

Tips to glowing skin on your wedding day

  • Eat Watermelon. Keep your skin hydrated by increasing your water intake. An easy way to get and stay hydrated is with fruits. What better fruit to keep you hydrated other than watermelon. You may also eat other super foods such as grapefruit and broccoli.

  • Schedule Monthly Facials. Be sure you’re checking in with your skincare therapist at least once a month. During your sessions your therapists will stimulate the blood circulation in your skin and rid your body of any and all toxins. Resulting in radiant skin.

  • Bath Salt and bubble baths. Once a week it’s essential to take a bubble bath with bath salts. Bath salts contains bicarbonate sodium which breaks downs and softens dry patches on your skin. This will also make your skin a sponge for moisture which is what your skin needs.

  • Sleep! There’s a reason it’s called Beauty Sleep. Sleep is essential to how our bodies functions on a daily basis. Be sure to get at least 6-8 hours of rest at night.

  • Exfoliate. Exfoliate your skin at least once a week and twice a week if you have oily skin. Doing these essential steps in your skincare regimen will remove the dead skin cells from your skin which allows your skincare products to penetrate your skin.

  • Moisturize. Don’t forget to moisturize your skin after you have cleansed and exfoliated. This step will keep your skin hydrated.

  • Wear SPF. Remember to protect your skin everyday by wearing SPF 15-30. This will prevent hyper pigmentation leaving you with an even skin tone.
